Structure
Description Fluorescein Biotin Azide is a PEG compound with both terminal biotin and azide functional groups, as well as a green-fluorescein moiety. The azide group readily reacts with alkyne, DBCO, BCN through Click Chemistry reactions to form a stable triazole linkage. The biotin group is effective at binding proteins such as binding to avidin, streptavidin or neutravidin. The hydrophilic PEG spacer can increase aqueous solubility of the biotin conjugated molecules. It also can also help minimize steric hindrance and provide extra flexibility with the binding to stravidin and avidin molecules.
