Protein Biotinylation Site Detection

Protein Biotinylation Site Detection

The biotin-avidin/streptavidin system is a powerful and widely used tool in biotechnology. Biotinylation can be performed chemically or enzymatically and is commonly used in affinity purification, western blotting, immunohistochemistry and cell surface labeling. The interaction between biotin and avidin or streptavidin is one of the strongest forces known, which can have side effects when determining protein biotinylation sites. At present, the identification of specific biotinylation sites is still challenging. Researchers can use anti-biotin antibodies to achieve efficient identification and detection of biotinylation sites, and can perform reproducible and large-scale identification. In the future, more and more effective methods will be developed to identify and detect protein biotinylation sites. Alfa Chemistry researchers develop a new biotinylation detection platform to achieve multifunctional, efficient and batch detection of biotinylation sites.

Related research

The researchers used anti-biotin antibodies for efficient detection and identification of biotinylated peptides. Proximity labeling of living cells was performed using APEX, and anti-biotin enrichment and mass spectrometry analysis were performed to efficiently identify and detect biotinylation sites. This powerful and sensitive detection workflow can significantly improve the efficiency of the most commonly used avidin/streptavidin for the detection of biotinylation sites. In the future, this method is expected to be applied to more detection sites in protein biotinylation systems.

Functional, diverse and efficient detection platform

  • Supports biotinylation designs for different types of proteins
  • Supports biotinylated expression for a variety of samples
  • Biotinylation site analysis and identification
  • Reaction site testing

Repeated testing of samples

For different samples, our researchers will fully consider the characteristics of the samples, formulate a reasonable test plan, and select appropriate test methods. Due to the possibility of errors due to factors such as sample mixing, distribution and handling, we will measure the sample multiple times. For the same sample, we generally conduct three experiments under the same conditions to produce more comprehensive data. We also support professional data analysis, compare samples, and provide customers with reliable data support.

Alfa Chemistry provides professional protein biotinylation site-related services, provides cost-effective strategies, and can refine samples to provide the best test results. If you are interested in our services, please contact us immediately.
