Streptavidin - FITC
Catalog BR00028488
Description Streptavidin is a 52,800 dalton homotetramer protein. It has an extraordinarily high affinity for biotin, one molecule of streptavidin binds four molecules of biotin by a non-covalent interaction that is essentially irreversible. Streptavidin- FITC is used in fluorescent staining of biotinylated antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids or other molecules in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF), in situ hybridization (ISH), or flow cytometry. FITC is excited maximally at 488 nm, emits maximally at ~520 nm.
Appearance Solution. Streptavidin-FITC is supplied in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide.
Storage Store at 2-8°C. Light exposure should be avoided. Do not freeze.
