The problem facing cancer treatment at present is how to distinguish normal cells from cancer cells, so there will be serious side effects during treatment. The development of a new targeted drug delivery system that can overcome drug resistance and side effects is of great significance for improving the therapeutic effect. Due to their excellent biocompatibility, low cytotoxicity, and excellent optical properties, nanomaterials have great application potential in biomedical fields, including biosensors, bioimaging, drug delivery, and medical therapy. Biotin-based self-assembled nanomaterials can encapsulate therapeutic drugs targeting different subcellular organelles. Molecular self-assembly is characterized as the process of forming structurally defined aggregates through non-covalent interactions, including electrostatic, π-π, and hydrophobic interactions. Drug delivery systems based on nanomaterials and targeted multifunctional self-assembled materials can be used for efficient targeted therapy of cancer. Recently, researchers have developed a new biotin self-assembled nanomaterial (Ru-1@TPP-PEG-biotin), which can be used to efficiently target and treat cancer, which is a new anticancer strategy.
The researchers of Alfa Chemistry have many years of experience in the field of biotin research and can provide customized services according to the needs of customers. Biotin-based self-assembled materials can be applied to efficient drug delivery systems for efficient cancer treatment. Related services we can provide include but are not limited to:
Currently, researchers have developed a new anticancer therapeutic strategy based on the co-targeting of GRP78 and lysosomes. Ru-1@TPP-PEG-biotin SAN inhibits GRP78-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress and causes lysosomal membrane destabilization by reducing ceramide expression.
Figure 2. Lysosomal degradation and GRP78 inhibition by Ru-1@TPP-PEG-biotin combination therapy is considered as a novel combined targeted cancer therapy
Nanoparticle drug delivery systems (NDDS) are a novel and effective approach for combination therapy of cancer, where multiple anticancer drugs are administered simultaneously. When anticancer drugs with different effects have a synergistic effect, they will show a strong drug effect, so it is important to develop a multifunctional drug delivery system. More and more studies are focused on NDDS that can be used to treat tumors efficiently, so as to facilitate targeted and efficient treatment.
Alfa Chemistry can provide high-quality customized services, serving customers around the world. It develops a variety of multifunctional biotin self-assembly materials, and committed to expanding its application in the field of drug delivery.
